Hi, and thanks for using MyDay Astro. We built this little app to give you a moment of Vedic reflection each morning, computed from your own kundli — and to do that, you trust us with some personal details. We don't take that lightly. So here's an honest, plain-English rundown of what we collect, why we need it, and what we'll never do with it. No dense legal jargon — just the real picture.
To build your birth chart and write your daily readings, here's what we actually collect — and why:
Notifications: We'd love to send you a gentle daily insight at a time you pick. We'll ask before sending the first one, and you can switch them off whenever you like in your device settings.
Advertising and tracking (Android only): On the Android version of the app, before we — or the Meta (Facebook) tools we use — ever touch your device's advertising identifier, we ask. On iOS this is not applicable: the iOS version contains no advertising identifier and no tracking SDKs. Say no and the app works exactly the same. You can change your mind any time in your device settings.
Your chart and profile are stored securely with Google Firebase, which is also what lets your data follow you if you switch phones. Everything travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and is encrypted at rest, with access controls on top. We'll be honest: no app on earth can promise data is 100% unbreakable — but we take real, sensible steps to keep yours safe.
We're a small app, so a few trusted services do some of the heavy lifting. Here's exactly who they are and what they see:
We hold onto your data only while you're actually using the app — that's what lets us show your saved readings and history. The moment you delete your account, your profile and astrological data are wiped from our active database, and any leftover copies in backups or logs are gone within 30 days.
You can edit or clear your birth details any time in the app. And whenever you want, you can permanently delete your account and everything tied to it from Settings → My Account → Delete account.

MyDay Astro is made for a general, grown-up audience — it isn't aimed at children. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18 without a parent or guardian's consent. If you think a child has shared their details with us, email us and we'll delete them quickly.
We only process your data because you've chosen to share it with us, and because the app needs it to work. You can withdraw that consent any time — just delete your account.
Depending on where you live (including under the EU/UK GDPR and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023), you also have the right to see your data, correct it, delete it, get a copy of it, take back your consent, and complain to your local data protection authority. Most of this you can do right inside the app — or just reach out to us.
Some of the services we use (like Firebase, OpenAI, and Meta) run on servers outside your country, including in the United States. So by using the app, your data may travel to and be handled in places with different privacy laws. We count on these providers' own safeguards to protect it along the way.
If we change anything meaningful here, we'll update the "Last Updated" date at the top, give you a heads-up in the app where it makes sense, and ask for your consent again where the law requires it. It's worth a glance now and then.
Plain and simple: we do not sell your personal data to anyone, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. That's a promise.
